At Tidewater Pastoral Counseling Services, our time is well spent. During our twenty-plus years, we have counseled people who have come to us with feelings of depression, grief, conflict...all sorts of concerns that have made their lives painfully difficult or desperate.

Persons often come to us knowing that we do not turn anyone away -- even those who cannot afford the full cost of counseling. Presently more than half of our clients are being assisted at reduced fees. Last year 9,000 clinical hours of counseling and supervision were billed. That translates to a cost overrun in excess of $260,000 -- funds not paid to our staff for time spent helping people with nowhere else to go.

With TPCS' Friends of the Center Endowment Fund, your money is well spent. The Friends of the Center Endowment Fund is a separate TPCS maximum -- yield account. It uses the interest earned to reimburse our counselors for a portion of their income lost to reduced fees. There is no intermediary, no overhead, no administrative expense -- just immediate financial relief to individuals and families seeking hope, help and healing.

Counselors at TPCS must continue to offer services to all in need. We consider that to be time well spent. But we need your help to keep our fees modest and our services available. Your tax-free contribution will provide Friends of the Center with money well spent.
